As Global Head of Alternatives, Stewart has oversight responsibility for our real assets and private equity businesses.
SUMMARY
- Oversees real assets business that includes U.K., European and U.S. (Lionstone) real estate and European infrastructure
- Directs private equity business, the U.S.-managed Seligman hedge funds, Thames River Capital (real estate securities) and Pyrford (absolute return, international and global equities)
- Joined Columbia Threadneedle Investments in 2021, following the acquisition of BMO’s EMEA asset management business
- Previously held the role of global head of alternatives at BMO Global Asset Management, responsible for its private equity, real estate and real estate securities businesses
- Arrived at BMO GAM with 25 years of experience in investment banking and private equity, including 10 years as partner and head of the financial institutions group at Ondra Partners
- Has been a member of the investment community since 1994
